Secondary Military Academy Programs

The NWSS Military Academy was developed in 2004 after four years of planning by an advisory council comprised of retired military personnel and professional educators. NWSS is located in Oregon City, Oregon near Portland.

"A New Approach for Success in Your Life"

One of the key objectives was to present a dynamic program to assist youth who had become accustomed to making counter-productive decisions. These decisions were creating family dissension which often escalated into social, mental and physical complications to the youth and many others involved.

This is a school program which demands educational achievement, development of discipline, and personal responsibility. Among other benefits, students may experience:

• Excelled academic learning
• implementation of physical health
• Military environment
• Academy uniforms for classroom, drilling, and field activities
• High school diploma, under the supervision of professionally certified teachers and instructors
• Dual credit of high school (secondary) and college (post-secondary credits for students at grades levels 11 and 12
• Reasonable tuition with financial contracting services available

Note: This is a non-residential school, however, supervised housing is possible by special arrangement.

The program offers parental assistance for troubled children by building self-esteem, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment and discipline in the high school students life. We have a number of programs around applying structure and order in the youth's life. We will strive to build pride and confidence in the searching youth as they grow and mature in our program.

Bottom line is our students, your child, gains self confidence and develops the ability to take on personal responsibility. We have found that this will lead to short-term and long-term academic success. We stress and teach teamwork. The team spirit and cooperation is at the core of how we work.
